Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park - field study, May 1st

The grade four classes enjoyed their day at Glenbow Ranch, with a bonus that we didn't get rained on.  We were prepared, in any case.  Rough Fescue Grass was the star of the day as a feature plant, with a key learning consideration being the protection of native grasses.  Ask your child to tell you about invasive species.  Students enjoyed getting small burrs on their clothing, as they observed seeds and considered how they disperse.
