Harvesting in room 304!

After approximately three months of caring for our plants, we harvested them!

We grew kale, lettuce, arugula, spinach, carrots, and white icicle radishes. Our garlic chives didn't sprout, so the garlic chive group planted basil in late October; hopefully that will survive winter break and we can enjoy it in the new year!

Our yield ended up being a veritable feast of vegetables  we hope that you had a chance to try our completely classroom-grown salad at our Solstice celebration! We found that it had a lot more flavour than a lot of the vegetables you buy at the supermarket. The radishes and the arugula were particularly peppery.

Have a lovely holiday! See you in 2019!
